Man, 40, pleads guilty to multiple New Milton shopliftings

A New Milton man has today (Friday 5 September) pleaded guilty to multiple shopliftings.

Daniel Whiteside, 40, of Marryat Road, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning.

During the hearing, he admitted to 11 shopliftings at various stores in New Milton and Brockenhurst between May and August.

He also pleaded guilty to failing to attend/remain for initial assessment following test for presence of Class A drugs.

Whiteside, who was arrested shortly after 11pm yesterday (Thursday 4 September), was remanded on conditional bail.

He will next appear at the same court for sentencing on Thursday 16 October.
